# LoRaWAN

# Background

There are several LoRaWAN device vendors and well working sensors and actuators on the market, but they are not all yet supporting Lynx. Vendors typically create their own encoding of the data since this is no standardized within the LoRa WAN specifications i.e. IoT Open or a partner need to build a decoder when a new brand shall be onboarded.

Each vendor normally uses the same style to encode data so "all" or "many" of their devices are likely to be supported by the same vendor specific decoder.

Below are a list of LoRaWAN device vendors that today have support for Lynx, and some examples of their devices that IoT Open are aware customers are using out there.
